CONCERT JAZZ - NEWS Live At Concert Jazz - First CD Release
Our
first Live Album release was 16th June 07 - CD Day Just to let you
know how delighted we are with the final product. As anticipated the
recording quality is top notch and the packaging looks great. Love the
colour scheme. Nick's guitar works well for the tweaked volume.
Notwithstanding the CD works really well. Many thanks for your hard work
Jake and I feel we have a recording that truly reflects our performance
ideals. It's only when you hear the audience at the end of each track you
realise this is a live recording! I feel the same tension that I felt at the
gig! Concert Jazz Forum The Calendar will shortly overtake the Jazz Diary and release some much needed space in the Server. Dinner Jazz Venues will continue to be listed. Any comments news items and suggestions are welcome on this Forum site and there will be no smut tolerated as it is all vetted by the Jazzmaster. BBC Jazz Awards 2007Public voting has now closed for this years awards. The results will be announced at the ceremony on July 12th and a full list of nominees will appear here http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/jazzawards2007/ in early June. Some of our Past and Future Guests have been nominated including - Simon Spillett who emerged as an award winner.

- we also need bigger and more committed audience attendance to keep booking these award winning Musicians - they are certainly not available for the price of your local Disco or a Karaoke Night - This is Real Live Jazz!! - with real live thinking breathing and reactive Musicians who have studied hard at our famous Musical Institutions to get their Diploma's - give them your fully committed support! Book Early!! WE NEED YOUR HELP………… Thee are times of year when things are difficult for us, so even if you can’t make it yourself we really do appreciate it if you encourage friends and colleagues to attend or gigs and help sustain a Live Jazz Art presence in Thame. If you would like some extra gig guides to put out in your work place that would be a terrific help and of course you can always send people to this comprehensive web site.. Given that this is only our 2nd year we need to expand the awareness of the Community to the quality of our performances - please network before each event.! Thanks. We always have interesting gigs and we break even at about 70 ticket sales (we seat 120!). So, all things considered see what you can do to assist and tempt people to sample our Quality Musicians, Recommend a night to some friends and colleagues and surprise them. - everything helps!
